Janna LT Bold, designed by Nadine Chahine, is an Arabic typeface that includes a variation created with the original Avenir in mind. This font, named Janna (Arabic: جنّة), meaning "paradise" in Arabic, was initially developed in 2004 as a signage font for the American University of Beirut. The Arabic characters in this font are based on the recently introduced Frutiger Arabic but have been given a more angular appearance. Due to its cultural and technical importance, this Arabic font is extensively utilized as the default typeface for various systems and designs.
